CAMP SUNDAY TODAY FEB. 14th Mount Luther is gearing up for our summer camping season for 2021 and we are accepting registrations for all programs until they are filled. Campers who register before April 15th will receive a discount on their camp fee. The camp is planning to have a summer season utilizing pandemic precautions. This year’s camping season will begin on June 20, 2021.

Resident and Day Camps run until August 6. There are programs for all ages from kindergarten to senior high, adults, and families. Most sessions run for one week, but there are also half-week and day-only sessions.

New programs this year include Retro Day Camp where young campers will do activities that were done “back in the day;” Outdoor Quest, a new adventure camp sampler with biking, hiking, low ropes course, nature study, and canoeing; Traditional and New Things (TNT), a new joint week between the camp, Upper Susquehanna Lutheran Synod, and the Episcopal Diocese of Central PA; and SALT (Service and Leaming Training) and SALT2 with service work and leadership development. For more information on this summer’s programs,

visit www.campmountluther.org/summer

This year’s theme at Mount Luther is “From Generation to Generation.” Campers will explore the stories of familiar Bible characters and their responses to God’s call and promised faithfulness in their lives. They’ll see how the enduring love instilled in the promise to Abraham and Sarah continues through Old Testament characters, to Jesus, to the early church, and on to them!

Please see the bulletin board display, located outside the office entrance, in the glass foyer area. Special offerings envelope(s) and registration brochures are available for pick up.

Ash Wednesday (February 17, 7:00pm) In-person service and live-streamed service. Ashes will be administered via Q-tip, or a similar method. For those worshipping online, two options for receiving ashes will be available:

  • Self-administer ashes will be distributed prior to the service in small cups. (available for pickup with a Bulletin)
  • Come to the church after the service to receive ashes, Pastor Jeff will be available for approximately 45 minutes.

MidweekLentenservicesWednesdays at 7:00 pm (Feb. 24t\ March 3rd,10t h,1 7th and 24th) will be online only.

Holy Week services Maundy Thursday and Good Friday will be held at 7:00pm, in-person & online.

Easter – Weather-permitting, we hope to have an outdoor Easter service, which will also be broadcast online. Unsurprisingly, there will be no breakfast. In the

event of inclement weather, the service will be held completely online. This was a difficult decision to make, but given the circumstances, it was felt that this was the best course of action. Let’s all pray for a sunny Easter! The following plans come from the Worship and Music Ministry, and are subject to change based on circumstance, or Church Councilaction.

Special Congregational Meeting:

Vote to Extend Call to Rev. Jeffrey LeCrone Meeting to be held right after the 10:30a.m. service (Both in person and via Zoom)

3 Ways to Vote- In person, phone, or email.

More details in later announcements!

SHEPHERD OF THE STREETS It’s February, time for Valentines, hearts and love. It’s also time to open our hearts to show love to our neighbors who are helped by the Shepherd of The Streets. People in our community are receiving medications and transportations to their medical appointments because of our gifts.

Some are able to see clearly through the glasses that we helped them

purchase. Very necessary gifts are the hygiene items that we donate: deodorant, baby diapers, baby wipes, baby shampoo, baby powder, baby oil, Q-tips, soap, shampoo, shaving cream and razors, tissues, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, women’s hygiene products, combs, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, nail clippers, towels, and wash cloths. These items are collected in the Bell Hall vestibule and in the West Hallway indoors. Monetary gifts are always appreciated, and can be mailed to St. Luke Lutheran Church with SOS on the memoline.

** PLEASE NOTE the Bell Ha ll glass vestibule (across from the office entrance) doors are always open for your dona tions.

***UPDATE FROM THE FOOD PANTRY ***With the generous donations that have been coming in from many churches our shelves are now well stocked. We thank all the congregations still collecting donations for those in need and suggest that if possible, donations now come in financially. This will allow us more flexibility. We can purchase what we need as we need it, and not worry about expiration dates. And you will be safer not having to be out shopping. Checks orstore gift cards can be sent to: United Churches (with memo foodpantry).

The address is 202 E. Third St., Williamsport PA 17701.
