COMMUNION For those who chose to continue with online worship, Pastor Jeff is offering communion after the in-person service. It will be available from 11:45-12:30. You can park in the front lot and either come to the Nave doors, or pull up to the edge of the courtyard and I will come to your car.

SERMON SERIES Easter Sunday is always a glorious celebration. But it is not the end. Now that we are on the other side of the day itself, we can start looking to what is next. This Easter season (through May 16) we will focus on the Book of Acts with this question in mind: “What does the resurrection of Jesus make possible?” Join us as we explore what impact the resurrection has on things like community, forgiveness, inclusion, and more!
PACK 12 CUB SCOUTS FUNDRAISNGIN EVENT is May 8th from 10am-3pm at St. Luke Church. This is a DINE OUT EVENT!! The ToGo Menu includes: All for $8.00 – 1 hamburger, 1 hotdog, Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, dessert & drink. If you would like to purchase tickets or call ahead for pickup, please call 570-971-9231. Drive up also welcome.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Shirley Collinswill be held Saturday, May 15 at 11:00am at St. Luke Church, for family and friends. A reception with light refreshments after the service will take place in Bell Hall and on the front lawn area. CDC guidelines will be followed. A private family cemetery service will be on Monday, May 17th.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to help mulch and weed the hill and embankment at the north end of the church parking lot on Saturday, May 15 between 9:00am and noon. Scouts and leaders from BSA Troop 12 and Cub Scout Pack 12 will be working, but any helpers would be greatly appreciated! Please ask Charles Mahler for more information 570-322-8840
SESSION II The Congregational Meeting, Session II will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021. The Annual Report may be picked up the previous Sunday, May 9th, at the back of the nave and at the church entrance.
SENIOR HIGH We will be congratulating our graduating seniors Halle Clark, Olivia Strother and Dillan Read on Sunday, May 16th at our 10:30am service. Please join us!
A CALL FOR MEMBERS OF THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Christian education is the foundation of adult and children’s faith. During trying times this past year, we in the St. Luke congregation and Upper Susquehanna Synod emphasized parishioner safety, but planning for next autumn’s Sunday School, first by way of Zoom meetings, would seem prudent at this time. SOS St. Luke has done it again!As a result of your generous support, our gift to the Shepherd of the Streets was $5,855.00. With a gift of $1,000.00 from Thrivent, out total gift was $6,855.00! We are blessed by God to be a blessing to others.

Other necessary gifts are the hygiene items that we donate: deodorant, baby wipes, baby shampoo, baby powder, baby oil, Q-tips, shaving cream and razors, tissues, toilet paper, women’s hygiene products, combs, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, nail clippers, towels, and wash cloths. These items are collected in the Bell Hall vestibule and in the West Hallway indoors.
** PLEASE NOTE the Bell Hall glass vestibule (across from the office entrance) doors are always open for your donations.
