COMMUNION For those who chose to continue with online worship, Pastor Jeff is offering communion after the in-person service. It will be available from 11:45-12:30. You can park in the front lot and either come to the Nave doors, or pull up to the edge of the courtyard and I will come to your car.
FROM PASTOR JEFF:
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the St. Luke Church Council has attempted to shape our policy around state and federal health guidelines. In light of the recent announcement from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) that masks are no longer required for vaccinated people, we are therefore modifying our policy.
· We will no longer enforce mask use for fully vaccinated people at worship or any other church gathering. Full vaccination is defined as having received all necessary doses (depending on type) and waiting two weeks after the final dose.
· We ask and trust those who have not yet been fully vaccinated to observe the “honor system” by either worshipping online or by wearing a mask while at the church.
· Since the full impact of the CDC’s announcement has yet to be determined, mask use will continue to be affirmed, regardless of vaccination status.
· As a precaution, the following will remain in place:
- All services will continue to practice continuous communion
- Communion servers will continue to wear masks and gloves
- Seating in the nave will continue to be every other pew
As has been the case since the beginning, we will continue to monitor any changes in state and federal guidelines as well as synod and national ELCA recommendations.
