COMMUNION For those who chose to continue with online worship, Pastor Jeff is offering communion after the in-person service. It will be available from 11:45-12:30. You can park in the front lot and either come to the Nave doors, or pull up to the edge of the courtyard and I will come to your car.
WORSHIP AND MUSIC “Please join with the Worship & Music Ministry to congratulate and share a very warm welcome, to our new organist, Mark Pall, this morning. Mark has joined our staff and will assume organist duties, and eventually will include choir director as soon as the Covid-19 situation allows.”

At the last Council meeting, it was decided to make the following changes to the Christmas Eve service:
-The service will begin exclusively online at 7:30 pm. This will include the readings and the sermon, and some music.
-At the conclusion of the online portion, we will hold for 30 minutes and resume with an outdoor session of caroling in the front area of the church (where we did the outdoor services this summer). The front parking lot and spaces will be reserved for handicap and those who wish to participate from their cars.
-Following the caroling, a communion liturgy will be available inside the church for those who desire it. We’ll accommodate twenty people inside the church at a time, and will hold as many sessions as needed, seating each group in a different location of the Nave. Mask are required at all times. If you do not bring a mask with you, one will be provided.

December 27 – Online Service of Lessons and Carols
The Sunday after Christmas is traditionally a service of lessons and carols, with no sermon. Given that this service has been traditionally low attendance, and in order to both recognize the current situation and provide an opportunity to increase involvement, this service will be online only – but with a twist!
All members are invited to record themselves and/or members of their families reading or a caroling (or both) at home. These will be compiled along with liturgy from Pastor Jeff and other music into a recording that will be broadcast online at 8:00AM & 10:30AM on the morning of December 27. Watch the bulletin and the Facebook group for more information on how to participate!

While this service will be online, communion will still be available. Pastor Jeff will join the broadcast live at the conclusion of each service to conduct a liturgy. Those wishing to partake can come to the church immediately following the 8:00AM & 10:30AM for roughly 45 minutes after the service concludes.

SHEPHERD OF THE STREETS Family sized hygiene items are always a blessing and the Shepherd’s shelves are almost bare! A new collection basket is now located in the Bell Hall glass vestibule (across from the office entrance) for your donations, along with the basket in the West Hall. This continues to be a necessary part of our Shepherd of the Streets ministry. The list follows:

***UPDATE FORM THE FOOD PANTRY ***With the generous donations that have been coming in from many churches our shelves are now well stocked. We thank all the congregations still collecting donations for those in need and suggest that if possible, donations now come in financially. This will allow us more flexibility. We can purchase what we need as we need it, and not worry about expiration dates. And you will be safer not having to be out shopping. Checks or store gift cards can be sent to: United Churches (with memo – food pantry). The address is 202 E. Third St., Williamsport PA 17701.

The St. Luke Service Ministry still invites you to fill “disposable” grocery bags with grocery items for the Food Pantry. The food collection basket is now located in the Bell Hall glass vestibule (across from the office entrance) for your donations. Please do not use our St. Luke canvas bags, due to the COVID19. Thank you. Trish Whelan and her son, Danny will check the basket and deliver the food to the United Churches Food Pantry, as needed.
