                   What Lutherans Believe
Through his ministry, death and resurrection, Christ has saved us from "sin, death, and the power of the devil." God's gift of faith in Christ's saving power makes that saving power effective for us. In joy and freedom, we respond to God's grace with praise and thankful service.

MID-WEEK LENTEN SUPPER & SERVICE Wednesdays during Lent (March 22nd, 29th and April 5th). Join us at 6:15PM for a simple supper of salad, soup and bread; followed at 7:00PM with a “That You May Have Life” Vesper Service (similar to Holden Prayer, but with a Lenten focus.) We need volunteers to provide food for the Lenten Suppers. Look for sign-up sheets in the West Corridor (near the Chapel). Remember, many hands make little work!

COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES Each year, we send a “Care Package” to college students of St. Luke. Packages contain goodies such as candy, snack crackers, cookies, granola bars, goldfish, Chap Stick, small packs of Kleenex, small bottles of hand sanitizer, etc. This year we are asking for your donations during the month of March. An appropriately marked basket will be placed in the west hall for your donations. Packages will be mailed in April just before EXAM time. If you would like your young adults to be included in the mailing, please leave their name and address with Sarah Young in the church office.

KID'S GOOD FRIDAY Our Kid's Good Friday program will be held on Friday, April 14th from 9:45 - 11:00 am. In order to understand the true meaning of Easter, we will first journey through the events of Holy Week together with crafts, song and drama. All kids preschool through 6th grade are invited. Please plan to be a part of this meaningful program. There will also be an adult activity in the library as a space for parents to pause and engage in the meaning of the day. Volunteers are needed! Whatever your gifts, we have a job for you (welcome guests, assist with a craft, be a part of the set-up team). Please see Erin Edmonds if you have a willingness to be of service on this important day.

FOOD PANTRY If you are “giving up to give more” during Lent, please consider our United Food Pantry currently needs… bisquick mix, canned fruits & meats, jelly/jam, ramen noodles, cereal, spaghetti sauce & noodles, and healthy snacks.

HANDBELL DIRECTOR St. Luke is seeking to hire a paid (stipend) Handbell Director to join our staff. For more information or an application, please see Sarah Young at the church office or call 570-323-7309.
